Upholster a chair, bench or ottoman to create a standout piece in the room. Mix animal prints with bright, vivid colors for a sharp visual contrast. Cloak your floor in style with an area rug like the rooms below.
Expressive Accent Walls
Posted by Kama | July 22nd, 2011 | Comment on this postThe accent wall is one of the easiest ways to brighten an office, room, or hallway with a large (or small) splash of color in order to pull together a look. However, it is important to make sure that a painted wall makes sense in a room- there is nothing worse than an obscure painted wall that does not give your highlighted atmosphere justice. But lately, we’ve been wanting to take the painted accent wall a step further. Adding texture with wood or a printed design/wallpaper can be even more effective when it comes to adding the right amount of [Read more...]

Storage is the key to a happy and clean desk, but here’s the kicker- you can still be chic and colorful while being orderly! Instead [Read more...]

Spice up your home with Ikat!
Posted by Kama | March 30th, 2011 | Comment on this postAdd spice to your home with Ikat! For those of you who don’t know what Ikat is, “Ikat“ means “to bind”. Likely one of the oldest forms of textile decoration, Ikat is a weaving method. The fabric is resist-dyed prior to weaving, resulting in the beautiful tie-dye-like designs. Ikat fabric is playful, bold, and vibrant, and can really liven up a space. Use several well-placed Ikat throw pillows to add some color to your couch, furnish your living room with some Ikat chairs, or even cover an entire room with Ikat wallpaper!
