Organizing Your Home Office

A home office is only as a good as its organization. Neat, thoughtful organization makes for an attractive, efficient work station, while careless storage can result in a cluttered, ineffective space. When organizing your home office, it is important to make full use of the space that you have. If your space has a deep drawer, outfit it with filing racks to create a simple filing cabinet for bills, letters, and other documents. If you do not have much drawer space, use baskets or containers to neatly store papers. Limit the objects that you put on the actual desk. Keeping [Read more...]

Expressive Accent Walls

But lately, we’ve been wanting to take the painted accent wall a step further. Adding texture with wood or a printed design/wallpaper can be even more effective when it comes to adding the right amount of [Read more...]

Before you tackle anything on my to-do list, always take the time to organize your space. No one completely thrives in chaos and confusion. The trick is in controlling the clutter. Start with paper, the main one to blame; file, recycle or even shred papers and mail every day in order to keep the mounds from forming. Next, make sure you are utilizing your files, cabinets, or other organizational tools- it’s easy to forget about them! Storage is the key to a happy and clean desk, but here’s the kicker- you can still be chic and colorful while being orderly! Instead [Read more...]
